EU MRV Reporting Software

Auto-generated per-voyage EU MRV reports for ships calling EU/EEA ports. THETIS-MRV compatible export, verifier-ready audit trail, and EU ETS allowance liability derived automatically from the same data.

Why manual MRV reporting is broken

The old workflow: Excel per voyage. Fuel data from noon reports. Distance from route logs. Port data from agents. Verifier-formatted export from a template file. Someone in the office copies + reconciles + emails. When numbers disagree (they always do), someone re-checks tank soundings against bunker delivery notes for a Wednesday two months ago. THETIS-MRV upload fails on a formatting error. Deadline slips.

Every LNG operator has a version of this. Every one. And with 2024 EU ETS phase-in adding liability calculation on top of MRV data, the stakes went from "compliance annoyance" to "€500k EUA over/under-purchase per vessel per year".

VEMO's approach: voyage data enters once — from the noon report or bridge form. MRV entry generated automatically. EU ETS liability derived. FuelEU intensity calculated. CII rating updated. All simultaneously. Verifier gets a read-only portal login instead of an email of Excels.

What's in the MRV module

MRV vs DCS — one entry, both reports

MRV (EU) and IMO DCS collect near-identical data. Different formats, different deadlines, different destinations. VEMO fills both from one voyage entry.

Frequently asked questions

Is VEMO's MRV output THETIS-MRV compatible?
Yes. Excel template matches EMSA THETIS-MRV upload format exactly. XML export also available for direct API upload. Verified against 2015/757 latest schema + 2023/957 CH₄/N₂O amendments.
Which verifiers can we connect?
All EU-accredited MRV verifiers: DNV, BV, LR, RINA, ClassNK, ABS, KR, IRS. Each gets a read-only portal login with full audit trail visibility. No PDF exchanges required.
How does the CH₄/N₂O extension work?
Regulation 2023/957 extends MRV from CO₂-only to CO₂ + CH₄ + N₂O from 2026. VEMO calculates methane slip per engine type (2-stroke slow-speed lowest, Otto medium-speed highest) and N₂O per fuel/engine combo automatically. Included in per-voyage report + annual aggregate.
Does VEMO handle Sea Cargo Charter (Poseidon Principles) too?
Yes. Same MRV base data feeds SCC scoring. Charterers using SCC-aligned trade get the required data in Poseidon Principles format automatically. See our voyage optimisation module for how this fits into the operational stack.
